Are the products all made in Tanzania?
Yes, all our products are made by small businesses or charities employing craftspeople in Tanzania. All are currently working in the capital Dar es Salaam but as the site establishes itself we hope to be able to offer products from other parts of Tanzania.
Are they fair trade?
We have visited each business personally to ensure that the groups are paying fair wages to their employees and have good employment practices. We strongly believe in ethical and fair-trading and will only import from producers we have personally visited. Our close links with our suppliers mean we are confident that workers are treated fairly and businesses are aware of their impact on the environment. They work hard to achieve and recognize the importance of quality workmanship, good training, fair wages and sustainable practices. Together we aim to actively encourage the creation of entrepreneurship as a sustainable way of promoting development
Are the products all unique?
Each item in the Kibibi range is individually handcrafted and as such no two items will be exactly the same. We have tried to be as accurate as possible in our description and where possible have given minimum sizes but because of the nature of handcrafted products each piece is unique.
When can I expect to receive my order?
Orders delivered within the UK are usually dispatched within 2 working days and delivered within 5 working days. If you need your item sooner, you have the option of choosing express delivery when you are at the checkout.
